Some people
think wedding planners are there to take over the day, this isn’t true, I’m
here to help guide you through and to be as involved or as uninvolved as you
want, I wont be barking orders, I want to help you make the day a day to
remember with your friends and family, whether in the UK or abroad.

My wedding experience
means I can think of unique ideas for your day, and also help you keep on track
with things such as etiquette advice, I produce a inspiration board if needed
to show you how your ideas will pull together, I can also take an idea like “Winter
Wonderland” and with the aid of the board, show you how this can be done with
style and unique flair.
3 – Someone
to talk to when no-one else wants to listen
We’ve all
done it, when you are newly engaged all you want to do is talk about weddings,
when the big day is upon you, you worry about things that you may have missed,
or what you need to do on the day, seems to clear a room sometimes, but I love
to talk about weddings, not just the good, but the bad also, we all have fears
on the build up, but I’m here to listen, and to help, anytime day or night, I’m
there if you want to pick up the phone, or if you fancy a chat over a coffee
somewhere.
4 – Stress Free,
honest and calming influence
Even when
things don’t seem to be going to plan, I’m here to help work around any issues
that may arise and to keep you calm on the build up to your big day. I’m open
and honest about everything, If I feel that something isn’t going to work, I’ll
tell you, I wont wait till the day to say “Well I thought it wouldn’t work
anyway” I help guide you through, There’s no problem that cant be overcome,
take a big breath and relax, I’m here working for you.
5 – Budgeting
advice
Although it
would be fantastic to have a unlimited amount of money to spend on your day,
the majority of people have a idea of what they can realistically afford to
spend, many would love to ideally be under budget rather than over, your budget
does not have to restrict you, a wonderful day can be planned for as little or
as much as you want. For as many guests or for as few a guests as you want, I
deal with all types of budgets, and can help you stick within budget, and also
help you plan your budget effectively to get everything you dreamed of.
6 – Helping
you pick the perfect suppliers for your day
There are a
wealth of suppliers out there, who want to be part of your day, I match you
with the suppliers who will be best suited, who I trust, and who I know will
help work as a team to make the day perfect. I never take a commission from any
suppliers, I recommend them as I’ve met them, and I know they will not let you
down.
6 – Help to
negotiate with suppliers
I have many
recommended suppliers, and I always try to get the best deal I can for you,
many of them I deal with on a daily basis, also I can help you work around
packages they offer, it may be you want something a little different, I have
years of negotiating experience, and I’m here to use that to your advantage.
7 – Mediator
Sometimes I’m
needed most when people have so many ideas on how the day should be, how many
guests from each side of the family should attend, weddings can sometimes cause
an unease between families, but I am here to help, many times just so you can
use the phrase “Colette thinks it would be best if….” As apposed to….”I don’t want
to do that……”
8 – On the
day help
Some brides/grooms
relish the idea of planning the day, they enjoy organising and keeping things
on track, this is great! But on the day you don’t want to have to worry about
things arriving, things keeping to time, this takes away from you enjoying the
day with your friends and family. I’m here to be a main point of contact for
the bridal party with any questions they may have, I’m here to ensure
everything runs smoothly and to plan, I can deal with any emergency, my rescue
kit is with me on the day and it contains everything we may need…even down to
having a fake cake!
9 – Working
together with all the suppliers, to make your day perfect
The best
thing about using the right suppliers is that we will work as a team, we all
work together and help each other, and we all know exactly what we need to do,
where we need to be, and how to conduct ourselves on the day, from the florist
to the bridal store, we make the full experience one to remember, from the
first moment you ask me to be part of the day, I’m working for you, with the
help of excellent suppliers, to make the day both memorable and seamless.
10 – But you

Wedding
planning isn’t as expensive as you may think, and along with everything that I
do, I charge a set day fee, and I tailor my full services to suit you, not the
other way round. There may be just elements you want help with, or just help on
